WOYWW #222 - slightly out of focus

I cleaned my desk yesterday, but then I got an idea... So it didn't stay clean for very long and I still have some white gesso stains on my fingers. I'll show you the finished project in a day or two, when it's dried properly. For now, the debris on my desk might give you a hint of what to look for...

Hi there! Welcome to my little part of cyber space!

I'm doing a quick post today, off on a field trip type thing with colleagues and students. Should be fun, if we can just avoid too much rain... Oh well, at least I'm a sensible grown-up who knows to wear sensible clothes for such occasions. ;)

My desk is a total mess. Wedding card in progress, colored digi image, papers, water bottles, scissors... You name it, I've got it on my desk!

WOYWW #202

Is it Wednesday already? Can't be! I've been s busy enjoying the fabulous spring weather, I haven't even looked at the calendar... Oh well, might as well let you into my crafty corner, messy as it may be.

I had a brain wave today, and had to get a new project going before I forgot what I wanted to do. Ever done that? Ever forgotten the Best Craft Project Idea Ever? Wholly frustrating, isn't it?

Here's my desk. Gesso, brush, a tag... Another tag, nearly finished... And a spiky little something waiting to be put on the soon-to-be black tag...

The black tag project will be featured here within a day or two, so stay tuned!

WOYWW #201

Today, I'm going to share my new coloring corner with you. I've discovered that it's quite nice to work while standing up, so I've cleared off the little dresser in my hall, and have designated that space to be all about coloring.

Yesterday, I colored a fairy from Some Odd Girl. The first one didn't come out very well, so I used that image to try out color combinations and remind myself not to forget the ear...

WOYWW #199

I haven't played along in a while, my workdesk has been neglected due to testing and grading at work as well as family birthdays and other stuff. Now I've got my Easter holidays, which means that my poor desk is getting much more attention. Yay!

As usual when I'm not crafting, there's a cat on my desk. There's also my new cutting mat/desk protector and lots of papers (see the unorganized pile? horrible...) I have to get my stash back in order so I can actually fit some more projects on my desk...

WOYWW #193 - a cat!

Today, I took some photos of my desk before I went to work. My desk is placed directly by the radiator, so it's nice and warm on the desk just under the window. A perfect place for a cat to sleep and maybe find some new string or ribbon to play with!

Oh, and I haven't used my tapes in a while, so now I've put them on my desk so I remember that I have them!

WOYWW #190

Well, this is what my desk looks like right now, but the pictures were taken last night. I had just finished my card for this week's Pysseldags slot (check the post below this one) and everything from tape to glue to flower stems are just where I've flung them mid creation. Heh... Anyone else do that?

I also included a picture of the three orchids that live in the window by my desk. The pink one is crazy! It's so bushy it's scary... Soon, it won't fit in the window but will have to sit in the middle of my desk... Then how will I get any crafting done?

Oops, seem to have caught myself om camera as well...

Today, my desk is very tidy looking. I write looking, because I know how it got that way, all the clutter was unceremoniously shoved to one side to make some space for some card making last night. Oh well, things could be worse.

woyww #187 - first of 2013!

Today, I am doing some new year's cleaning of my craft space. I have some old kits lying around that need to be sorted into the proper boxes, this week's card for Pysseldags and some other things. I've also spent the day crafting with the ladies of the local scrapbooking club, so some essentials are missing from my desk as they're still packed.

Today, my workdesk is still housing the remnants of this morning's Xmas card post (scroll down) but I'm preparing to do some coloring so that I can whip up some awesome cards on Saturday, when the local craft club is meeting up and doing a day of Xmas xtravaganza. ;)

WOYWW #180 - Xmas

Today, my workdesk is wonderfully christmassy! I have lots of new Xmas stuff from Pink Paislee, Xmas music playing and a lovely early day at work, so I can come home and make pretty stuff all afternoon! Yay!

As it grows colder outside, I also have a cat on my desk whenever I'm not there playing around on it. It's warm, she says.

Welcome! Today my workspace is oddly organized... Or so it seemed when I looked at it this morning. However, my photos don't really emphasize that, they're more a documentation of what I got stuck trying to do last night. I've been asked to make a very special layout, which means the pressure is on... and I try to make a background, just to deem it unworthy five minutes later. Hopefully, if I let it sit on my desk for a bit, it'll all fall into place.

WOYWW #172 - desk, floor...

It seems my creativity has spilled off my desk and onto the floor... Strange, isn't it? I can't understand why or how it happened! Must do something about it soon, unless I want impromptu visitors to think I've really gone nuts...

Oh, and I'm making wedding invitations! As you can see, they go in off-white and gold, with lace and butterflies. 7 done, 20 due on Friday. Love is all around!

WOYWW #171 - lucky number 7!

Last week, there was a white number 9 on my desk. It now looks something like this:

 This week, a number 7 and a number 6 are waiting their turn to be magically transformed into little works of art. Today is a busy day with work, a trip to the hairdresser's, and a bit of more work when I get home. Not to mention the numbers that are jumping up and down wanting to be fixed up...

School's finally back in rhythm after a bumpy start and my students are already groaning at the heaps of assignments they're getting. Oh well, wait till you grow up... ;)

Today, my desk is messier than usual, I did some last minute editing of the layout in today's previous post before taking its picture and posting it. Oh, look, there's a sneak peek of some upcoming stuff, too...

Despite the full pot of flowers over on the right, I'm eagerly awaiting a package from Wild Orchid Crafts this week... Mmm, new flowers! Yummy!

And today, all the kids come back to school, so I'm in for a day of endless talking about rules, regulations, summer holidays and trying to figure out who's absent and why... Oh yay!

Woohoo! I'm back! All moved in and sorted, yay!

Here's my new craft space, with a big window and a view of both the neighboring houses and a park by the river... Lovely! And as the window has an extra wide sill, I've got lots of room for beautiful orchids.

WOYWW #165

I've moved! On Saturday, 6 people (myself, my parents and three brave friends) made an Olympic effort and moved all my belongings from one apartment to another. My new apartment is on the third floor with no elevator. A total of 44 steps with every single thing I own... And I do own lots of things!

So today, there will be no picture of my desk, as I don't have one yet. I have unpacked 2 out of 6 boxed labelled "scrap", but for some reason focus has been on unpacking kitchen stuff and assembling furniture. As always, Julia's place is full of inspiring desks and things. Hop on over and check them out!

WOYWW #164 - Moving frenzy

Hiho there! In the middle of moving, I just had to pop in and share my craft space. It still looks pretty much the same as always, but tomorrow, it'll all be packed into boxes, labelled and moved to my new home.

 And here's my desk. I'm in the middle of a huge challenge held by a Swedish scrapbooking store, so it's all cluttered by instructions, half finished projects and lots of yummy stuff!
