I've been enjoying my summer holidays so far, and have been pretty creative. This is a card that I made for my sister's birthday, which I also entered for the Get Moving challenge over at Some Odd World, the Some Odd Girl ning community.
I've used the folloing Copics:
Hair: E 55, E 57, E 59, B 02, B 04, B 05
Dress & shoes: R 21, R 22, R 24
Bicycle: G 21, G 28, G 29
The community is full of inspiration, challenges and lovely people to talk to. Come on over!

SOG June sketch
I know, I went completely nuts here. My card for this month's sketch challenge at Some Odd Girl is way out of the ballpark... Bonkers. But I did have fun making it!
I used the sketch from the Some Odd Girl blog, papers from Crate (Little Bo Peep) and some stuff I found on my desk. I also entered this card for this week's challenge in the Odd World ning community. The image is colored with ProMarkers.
Happy summer, and please come back soon, I'll be way better at blogging now that school's out!

Going all orange...
Today I'd like to show you a card that I've made using this week's Sketch Saturday sketch as well as for a challenge over at Some Odd Girl's ning community. The SOG challenge was to use brads on your project. Now, I don't own that many brads, but I discovered that I'd bought some green, yellow, brown and black ones that I'd then just put in a drawer. I'm sure you know how that is...
My card features Flapper Kaylee from Some Odd Girl, colored in ProMarkers. The designer paper comes from Simple Stories and the embellishments are just stuff that was lying around. And the brads. Obviously.
Promarkers used for this card:
Skin: Almond, Satin, Putty
Clothes: Amber, Honeycomb, Pumpkin
Hair: Cinnamon, Cocoa, Chestnut
Eyes: Raw Sienna
I'd like to enter this card for Sketch Saturday's sketch #255.

Coloring on Kraft
Over at the Some Odd community, the current challenge is to stamp on kraft instead of whichever paper you use regularly. I had a litte card already cut out (spellbinders are so handy for making cards that aren't plain squares!) so I stamped my image on it and dug out my watercolor pencils from the bottom of a drawer.
I started out with my pencils, shading Gwen's dress with a couple of different colors. Then, I went over it all with a water brush to blend the colors together. The rest of my image is colored using only one shade per area, but layering the same shade over and over gives a pretty nice effect too. I've gone over all the areas with my water brush, sometimes more than once.
This was a completely new technique for me, and I really enjoyed working with my pencils. I'll definitely be using them more, alongside my usual ProMarkers!
