European Scrap Battle Round 3 - ATC

Hello everyone!

I'm here with a quick post to share my ATC for round 3 of the European Scrap Battle. The voting ended last night and now I'm on pins and needles waiting for the results.

The challenge for this round was to use colors! No black or white was permitted. I used a yellow patterned paper from Crate Paper for the base of my card and also for the punched out flower. The ribbons and little word sticker are from Prima. I added some words with a brown pen.

European Scrap Battle - ATC

Nu har alla grenar i European Scrap Battle dragit igång. Jag är med och tävlar i LO (där jag gick vidare efter första omgången), alter och ATC. I alter och ATC gick alla deltagare som lämnat in sina bidrag vidare, eftersom vi var så få. Så det blev ingen spännande omröstning utan vi får nu vänta på nästa utmaning.

Jag vill visa mitt ATC idag. Utmaningen var att använda sig av ett enda ord på sin ATC, som beskriver vad scrapbooking betyder för just mig. Utmaningen till alla tre grenar som jag deltog i den här omgången var samma, så jag försökte göra tre så olika alster som möjligt. Scrapbookingen betyder ju många olika saker för mig.

Jag har använt ett papper från Prima som jag klätt ett spelkort med. Sedan har jag stämplat med ett hexagonmönster i vitt, som bara syns lite svagt. Kanterna har jag distressat med mycket Distress Ink Black Soot. Ett frimärke, några kugghjul och en ros med blad och knoppar passade perfekt till pappret. Ordet Kreativ har jag skrivit på min lilla Dymo.

Wicked Wednesday ATC #80

I'm hooked. I can easily see myself making more ATC's! The pocket-sized format is such a challenge, and at the same time it gives so much more room for trying new stuff and experimenting.

The challenge over at Wicked Wednesdays is Black, White and one other color. I chose purple (my favorite color).

Like last week, I've used an ordinary playing card as a base for my ATC. I've painted my card black (using black gesso). I then stamped with one of my favorite bubble stamps in white on the black card. Some tissue tape, gems, purple and white twine, a silver angel (I'm hoping silver can count as white for this challenge), a rose and a sentiment made with my trusty label maker are what I added.

As I played around with my decorations, I noticed that the gesso was pretty easy to scratch off the card's glossy surface, so I covered up the most obvious scratches afterwards, applying more black gesso with my finger. I like getting a bit messy when I play with my paints! :)

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #79

I've started making ATC's. It's a real challenge, keeping inside the tiny format of an ATC (I use playing cards as a base for my ATC's) and still being able to fit everything I want into them. Today, I'm playing along at Wicked Wednesday for the first time. Wicked Wednesday is an ATC only challenge blog that I found out about from Tabbatha.

This week's theme is "Show Us Your Suit". My ATC is a playing card that I covered in metal tape and embossed using a Tim Holtz embossing folder. After that, I covered it in black gesso. When the gesso had dried, I sanded it off with my trusty nail file and decorated it.

This is my first real attempt at several new techniques, a new format and a new style. Yikes!
